How does it work? There are three basic
steps to redecorating - Consultation, Shopping, and Loading the room.
Consultation.
We will meet where I can see all of the rooms you would like to redecorate.
We will discuss what you are looking for - theme, color scheme, mood as well as
your timeframe. I will quote you a service fee for each of the rooms, and
you will give me your budget. If we agree to move forward, you will sign
my contract and I will collect the
service fee at this time, which covers the consultation, shopping and
loading the room. Then I will photograph your room from all angles and
ensure that I have a solid understanding of your preferences. After I
leave, I will develop a plan for the space to incorporate your vision.
Shopping.
I will begin selecting any necessary pieces to redecorate the room. I am
an avid, budget-conscious shopper and will strive to find quality pieces at
bargain prices.
Loading the room.
Now the fun part! I prefer to "load" the room
without homeowners present so that the reveal is magical for you. Upon
completion, I will take "after" pictures, and collect the remaining balance of
your budget.
Timing.
The timeframe for each room will be
specific to your needs and the level of the redecoration. However, it is
my goal to have no more than four weeks from start to finish. We will
discuss the timeframe at the consultation to ensure that your needs are met, and
the project is realistic. If you are redecorating more than one room at a
time, the timeframe could be longer than four weeks, and this will be determined
at your consultation.
Additional rooms you hire me for within 45 days
will receive a discount.
To keep costs down the homeowner is responsible for removal of wallpaper,
paint and/or paying a contractor to do any work. I will help pick out
colors, tiles, counter tops etc. and help in anyway I can throughout the
process. If you are interested, I can refer you to a contractor that I have
had great experiences with.
